Start packing decisions during engineering
Packing should be reviewed before the fixture structure is frozen. Long welded frames, removable shelves, glass or mirror panels, illuminated headers, and mixed-material surfaces have different volume and protection needs. Choosing assembled, section-packed, or knock-down construction early prevents last-minute changes that affect stability or installation.
Separate surfaces that can damage each other
Powder-coated metal, wood grain panels, acrylic, mirrors, printed graphics, and hardware should not rub directly during handling. Use suitable film, foam, separators, corner protection, bags, and internal supports based on the surface and component weight. Confirm whether protective film must remain easy for store installers to remove.
Create a clear part and hardware system
Each fixture, module, carton, and hardware pack should use a consistent code that connects to the packing list or installation reference. Separate fasteners by assembly step where useful, identify left and right components, and include a controlled quantity of spare hardware for the confirmed project scope.
Check carton, pallet, and loading logic
Review carton weight, lifting direction, stacking limits, long-part support, moisture exposure, pallet access, mixed carton sizes, and the order in which stores or modules will be unloaded. The most compact arrangement is not always the easiest or safest for the receiving team.
Record the approved packing standard
Before batch shipment, keep reference photos for component protection, carton contents, labels, hardware, pallet arrangement, and loading. These records help the buyer verify receiving conditions and give the factory a repeatable baseline for later orders.
