Plan center-floor fixtures around circulation, presentation height, and shipping volume.
Set the footprint from the store plan
Island length, width, height, customer access, staff replenishment, nearby wall fixtures, and circulation routes should be reviewed together. A strong presentation unit can still disrupt the store if it blocks sightlines, creates narrow aisles, or leaves no practical access to products and storage.
Choose the display deck and support structure
Flat tables support folded products and campaign stories, while stepped decks improve visibility for shoes and smaller goods. Double-sided structures increase access; mirrors, drawers, casters, graphics, lighting, and hidden storage can be added when they support the retail task. Metal frames with wood or laminate decks are common for repeatable mixed-material construction.
Balance assembled strength with knock-down packing
Welded frames reduce installation steps but can increase shipment volume. Knock-down sections save space but require well-controlled joints, hardware, labels, and assembly access. The sample should confirm stability, visible joint quality, leveling, surface protection, and the time required by store installers.
